Starting point
A dive centre with bases in Sesimbra, Funchal, Reis Magos and Porto Santo planned each day in spreadsheets, messages and memory. Who goes out on which boat, with which instructor, with how many dive tanks — and what happens when a skipper is missing or a boat goes into maintenance — was discovered at the last minute.
The HUB was born from the inside. The person who designed it has been diving for more than twenty-five years, has been an instructor for more than ten and, for as long, chief financial officer of Cipreia, the company that uses it: that is where he learned to run and manage dive centres. He knows what it is to reach the pier without a skipper, run out of filled tanks mid-morning or discover an expired insurance policy the day before a trip. Every screen answers one of those days. That is why the HUB is also our testing ground: everything we build for other clients first passes the test of a real operation, every day.
What we built
A schedule of trips by boat and hour, with bookings, customers and team on the same screen. Automatic planning assigns people and resources according to rules (ratios per activity, skipper qualifications, minimums per base) and flags every conflict before the day starts. The daily plan review happens on the phone, with comments.
Around the schedule: a CRM with customers, groups and campaigns; maintenance of engines and dive tanks with hour readings, refuels and QR codes; insurance policies and legal obligations with deadlines and documents; access by role and by base, with an audit trail of everything that changes.
What changed
The day plan comes from one click and is reviewed on the phone before the team heads to the pier. Boat, team and equipment conflicts appear as alerts, not surprises. Insurance and legal obligations no longer depend on someone remembering.
